@jamador95 Lol? IM beats AC/DC? It's totally different genre of music, how can you compare heavy metal to hard rock? It's like comparing car to the keyboard. :D
Yeah i know what you mean it happens a lot lol. Obviously it's not true for obvious reasons. Number of the Beast was really like a nightmare Steve Harris had. And thats the only song where it's even mentioned. :) Up the Irons!
What about the Other Albums like Son of a Seventh Son? People say Iron Maiden are an influence to Gothic Metal after the 80's. By the way, have you noticed that the first song in the first album sounds a bit perverted? Prowler? Why did he make that? Also, why does the dong "Prodical Son" Sound like they were high when they wrote it? Its my least favorite song by them.
Yeah Prowler is odd but its like a stalker kinda of thing or something. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son is one of my favorite whole albums from them. Prodigal son was more of just like a song for them to try something else. I didn't really like it too much either. My favorite songs off that album were Murders in the Rue Morgue, Drifter, Twiloght Zone, and Purgatory.
I guess as well they do mention Gothic elements a lot too. Seventh Son of a Seventh son - Seven being a Gothic related number. The song of this album Two Minutes to Midnight midnight being a Gothic time. So yeah i guess you could say they were a big influence over Gothic Metal after the 80's. Hallowed Be Thy Name would be another one.
Iron Maiden simply point out the forces of evil at work in the world ie- the illuminati bankers with the Egyptian theme and the all-seeing eye plus "Two Minutes To Midnight" about wars that they start to make money. The band talks about Satanic themes because it should wake people up. The band members even have some Christian leanings if you listen to some of their work ie- "For The Greater Good Of God"
