The point is *humor*. It's not a "Jewishization" of anything. It's an amusing reworking of a popular song that is sung this time of year. It's light-hearted and amusing. Lighten up, OK? - Baruch Ben-David
I believe the video is an old cartoon. As for making this version, kudos to whoever had the idea... music should have no barriers, and anyone who disagrees needs to seriously open their minds
Stupid Christian tradition? Sure. Jewishized? From the get go. But the fact that something as cute and benign as this -- a little ditty the band threw together for a holiday concert -- can still lure out the same tired rhetoric makes me feel that there is some value to this more than just the schlockiness of a klez band pandering to Christmas.
Jonny Marks, the guy who wrote Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer was Jewish. Other Christmas songs by Jews: "White Christmas", "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow", "Silver Bells" and "The Christmas Song" (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)
