Well I'm pretty old so when I listened to the Misfits and 45 Grave back in the day I just called them punk. A lot of people would disagree and say Horror Punk (ie Misfits) but Death Rock, even if you like that term, seems totally wrong to me. The only bands I can think of that I've heard called death rock were Southern Death Cult, Play Dead, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, and Skeletal Family.
