goodness this is an insanely good movie. philip glass's score compliments it perfectly. can't wait to get this on blu-ray.

This movie is so thought-provoking. It is beatiful and grotesque.  It is uplifting and depressing. It encompasses and embodies many of the contradictions of Mishima himself.

Here we have real life in black and white, art in color. In ``Wings of Desire`` it is opposite.

Uh, try too be more polite if you can.
Interesting enough, neither "vegascorpion" nor I noticed this dub... and this does not actually means that we didn't buy the CC discs.

No, problem. If my response sounded abrasive, I'm sorry. It's actually available here in Japan. But the store I saw it at, Llamtarra, was selling it for nearly $100 bucks. Of course it was an import of the US Criterion release.
