seriously? No one could ruin that awesome scene! I am sure the Python Troupe knew exactly what they were doing and I just have always been curious why both characters make mistakes in the Latin. I have no doubt that John Cleese knows that his character said something incorrect and I just am not sure why. I think there is another layer to the joke and just trying to figure it out...not sure how that could really take away from your enjoyment of the scene!

odd that John Cleese makes a mistake himself when the joke is supposed to be about Brian's bad Latin. Cleese is correct in recommending domum as the right form but wrong when he calls it the locative (it is the accusative as Brian eventually says). Domus is one of the few Latin words with its own locative form (domi) but that isn't relevant to what Brian is trying to say. Both characters make mistakes and the joke seems to be that not even the Roman is immune from grammatical confusion!

More funnier? Need you have used two superlatives? It is '100 times funnier'. Now write it a hundred times!
