They have songs about abandoning children in forests, men going insane in their farms and burning them down, finnish battles, hunting, shamanism and the inner journey of every man.

Of course they have some drinking songs, but as a whole Korpiklaani is definitely a serious folk metal band.

Well, they even said it themselves, they play music about having fun because they were annoyed by the many Metal bands who sing about dark-themed stories and "devil-worshipping", so they try to play the other extreme and play crazy fun songs.

A return to pre-capitalist days, in which the land was shared in common and you weren't short of help in harvest season. You didn't waste away at a television, you made your own fun, out in the vibrant earth. The main corruption was your "lord", who stole your crops and the virginity of your betrothed before you could marry. I'm not a primitivist, I like technology, but I still say we could learn something from those days.
