The only originality possible can be found in "The Original Songs Album Vol 1" sung and produced by The Cavemen way back way back when. Duffy "filled in" for no-one and "ripped off" nothing - her songs are modern, fresh and brilliant, and only slightly influenced by Stax and Motown. Grow up, girl. FFS.

u can't say some of those artists u named amy,duffy,adele arent unique now if they were around in the 60's r 70's then no they would'nt be unique ,but adding a hint of the past in a modern song is still being original..........and face it they can all sing thier butts off....

If you pay attention, ALL music borrows from the past. They're bringing back a special, unique sound, and none of them are doing it in exactly the same way, because they all have different vocal styles.
