the gel actually contains nutrients and they do eat it. by the time they could eat it all they would probably dead, b/c they onll last for a month of 2

probably for ventilation, bu also maybe because they only have limited space in the ant farm?  Maybe they change their digging habits based on available space?

basically they got taken away from their queen and they are trying to find her in the area that they are in. when they dont vind a queen in one tunnel, they dig another until the entire thing is gu up. usually by then they are dead tho :(

thats not silicone oxide, and if you knew anything you would know that ants do put other dead ants in one place to prevent diseases
