well done. he plays with an exquisite taste which is different yet equally as good as szeryng's schumann

I AWARD THIS 2 DRESDENS...Although the conducting here keeps things lively and dynamic,we pass through one lovely violin passage after another and hardly experience even a flutter of feeling or wonder.We're left to fend for ourselves as this performer just plays pearly notes and lets the phrases fall in an emotio-spiritual way without substance or directness.

It's taken Classical music 100 + years to encourage it's performers to ignore the insides of the audience,but no question that here is evidence of it's great triumph

Kavakos is a super gifted violinist. He plays with an old soul, like Leonid Kogan. Bravo.
