For me, the original is faaaar superior than this version. Noel's voice and arrangement on the original is awesome. The voice on this is way too weird, doesn't portray the emotion of the song.
I also don't udnerstand how the song is considered a "guilty pleasure", considering it's a British classic. Well actually I'm not suprised, "indie" nowadays usually means pretentious people with weird haircuts and skinny jeans!
I agree, his version is softer for sure, and also, I don't think Oasis is a Guily Pleasure sort of band, it's not if he did Vengaboys or Britney Spears like you say. Thumb up
agree with you 100%. Trying so hard to be unique its pathetic!!! Instrumentals to this song sound fine but his voice is like nails on a chalkboard... TERRRIBLE!!!
