Sheva was a later on installment to the game.
This is one of the first trailers so I'm pretty sure the idea of Sheva was planned out to be with the game.

i wonder why capcom is making the story so diffrent the only thing i know is this all has 2 do with umbrella and that they are just showing the story of where chris is right? maybe the next game will be on claire who knows.
