THIS IS LAME SHIT.
Linux fanboys are obsessed with spinning a cube around all fucking day, but no mention whatsoever of the WORK you can get done in Linux.
That's why I stay with Windows. I don't need to stare at a fucking cube spinning around on the desktop as a substitute for accomplishing something.

Just because all you see on youtube is compiz fusion doesn't mean that people don't do serious work on the desktop. This just happens to be fun eyecandy that looks pretty even if it's overkill. I'm sure my desktop from 2 years ago was a bit overkill but it was an excellent way to showcase Compiz Fusion.

My desktop now on my laptop has the cube disabled. I use it for college to write essays and to browse the web. I'm not going to post a video of me writing an essay, though.

from personal experience, the support in ubuntu is as good or better than in windows.
