Ideal implementation of communism was always a utopia, that's why this great music and scenes matched perfectly with a nostalgic feeling.

The pictures are from "prairie children" a revolutionary dance drama from the chinese cultural revolution, first staged 1971.

Politics aside, Mao is considered one of modern China's most influential literary figures, and was an avid poet, mainly in the classical ci and shi forms. His poems are all in the traditional Chinese verse style.
