Is the Greek word for eleven spelled as ένδεκα οr έντεκα by Greeks? I've always felt that ένδεκα seemed more correct as it symbolizes εν + δέκα = ένδεκα.
Is there a difference?

Well, nowadays, we mostly use "έντεκα", since "ένδεκα" is considered "old". The original word is "ένδεκα" and it is definitely not wrong to use it.
