Myself playing Citizen Erased on a 7-string guitar. It's not tuned the same as Matt because that would mean a restring. I wasn't concentrating for some parts as this was take 2 and i copped the hum...

What kind of tuner do you have?
You need a chromatic one to get like different notes.
I had a Korg one then I got a chromatic tuner built in my effects board I bought.

But you can buy a chromatic tuner for just about £5-£10.
Best thing I can suggest.

yes it was a 6 string on recording, in AADGBE
He needed the low A and the higher A for the harmonics.

Live it's a seven string AADDGBE..
