I agree almost completely, and I say "almost" because I am Italian and an Italian diction coach and I have just a couple of minor negative comments on some of their vowels (a bit too open) and their Rs (too rolled). But yes, when I look for good recordings of this type of music, the King's Singers are always my first stop.
After all this time - still the most perfect, beautifully flawless rendition of this work on youtube [by the King's Singers].
Sorry but the rest of the other recordings just plain suck ^^ I guess it's too simple of an arrangement for other pro-choirs out there to include in their recorded concert repertoir?
Some good group out there, record a great rendition of this even on rehearsal or just for kicks pls!! :)

This generation of King's Singers (that sing in this recording) are from 1983, and none of the singers back then are still in the group.
The bass part is sang by Colin Mason, the soprano part by Jeremy Jackman, the Alto by Billy Ives, and the Tenor by Anthony Holt I think.
Chris entered recently in 2004, and Stephen has been singing with them since 1987 I believe.
thx a lot =D
the never do anything less than perfect IMHO
I must say: simply wonderful <3
