De-homosexualise? No. In fact Pearce highlighted his behavior and the consequences it had on his family- being a failure to them. Removing Wilde's sexuality is not what it's about. Reading a biography that basically says "He had LOTS of gay sex" doesn't enlighten me because that's something I already knew. Highlighting his religious activities however does.
