Is there any significance to the Newspaper Johnathan's first victim is reading? I could be way off, but Liberation sounds left-wing, not something you'd expect a Mafia kingpin to be reading. I think this is a truly great film.

Thank you for putting this on.  I just love it. My favourite Wenders film. The dialogue is variously in English, French and German with subtitles as appropriate! Amazing.

It's excellent how Zimmerman floats ethereally in this scene...his sleeping in the subway might reflect how morally unconscious he must remain to perform his job.
