im trying to find some important films in french culture. could anyone share some good films, from the oldies all the way to the newer ones?

There are two films based on the writings of Marcel Pagnol, called 'La Gloire de Mon Père' and 'Le Chateau de Ma Mère', which I thought were pretty good.
