One of THE most unique & talented bands in Hawaii, KUPA'AINA shared their sweet sounds w/us lucky peeps. Better than Waiahole Poi and a roll of Waikane store sushi, these guys aren't just choice musicians, they care about the 'aina, too!
Here they are, caught in the act, jammin' in the streets (literally) and making themselves at home in the middle of Downtown Honolulu...complete with umbrella, beach towel, cooler and a bird bath!
They turned a downtown parking space into a "mini-park" for the '07 Trust for Public Land Natnl Park(ing) Day to spotlight the need for parks in our cities.
Too good, eh, these simple island people? I should've asked for an autograph.

Kupa'aina played for free to make a statement that more parks are needed instead of parking spaces. So they did this in conjunction with National Park Day for the Trust for Public Land.
