Sorry but I have to disagree, he is a good guitar player and has become famous because of it but I really do not like his playing at all. His guitar tone is very lame, he messes up quite a lot as you can hear in most of these live video's, he's up his own arsehole basically. There are many other guitar players that are way more powerful than him and this is why I disagree with your comment.

eddie is a better player for that fact eddie invented this kind of playing. when val halen exploded on the scene, no one had ever scene a guitar played in this way. satriani has taken that style and built a career on it.

To everyone, this is possibly the most talented Axe player on earth. Eddie Van Halen is great, but what most do not know is that Satriani is his talent of using every known form of musical notes that can be named. Including classical which is blended in the music. This gives Satriani the edge that most other Guitar players cannot even come close to. Hats off to Joe Satriani. Possibly the most powerful player on the planet.

lmfao. Just because Van Halen is more mainstream than Joe Satriani does NOT mean that Eddie can play guitar better than him. Eddie is great but he is NOT in the league of Joe Satriani. He never will be.
