Debussy would strongly resent you calling him an "Impressionist", Andy... ;)

Well, another wonderful composer somewhat in this Impressionistic vein is Erik Satie, and I heartily recommend you his music.

It's more like a simbolist. He was not trying to capture the "light" (or the sound in this case) but more like represent a number of situations based on symbols.
