You mean Woody Guthrie.
Dylan started doing Rock in high school, did Folk in New York in his late teens and early twenties, then went electric in 1964. He later did country on Nashville Skyline (1969), did jazzy stuff on New Morning (1970), gypsy blues on Desire and Blood on the Tracks (1976, 1975), gospel for Saved! and Slow Train, he even did Chicago blues for his latest album Together Through Life.
And the song "Hide your love away" is the Beatles' tribute to Dylan.

All their music videos are scenes from their movies. They didn't start making vids that were not in movies untill Sgt Peppers.

Back then, people made "promotional videos". They were essentially the same as music videos.
