One year ago, on January 23 2007, there was the very first report on TV about the Berlin Zoo raising a polar bear cub. What an amazing year this was. Here is a collage I made of some of my photos and videos to celebrate this special day - and a very special relationship.

Again, thx q so much Christina for this wonderful vid. It is always a special love & worming 2 see Knut & his beloved daddy Thomas together. Wish miracle in life happen that Thomas returns to Knut's life again (even knowing it's impossible). Love Knut & always pray that he receives the best love & care from the zoo. How is Knut doing now?
Lovely video, ..i look forward to seeing you post video w Knut and Gianna from Munich zoo...once again you have captured the magic of Knut and Thomas!
It is a kind of sucking, quite loud, sounding like a little motor.. :) Usually polar bears do this with their mother, and Knut was first sucking on his keeper's finger, when he was bigger, on his hand. It was very essential to him and gave him comfort. Sometimes still today he is sucking a bit on his own paw, but not very often.
