Dude, im pretty sure he just meant, APC in a whole has a more positive sound to them. As opposed to Tool having a darker sound and shit.

That's your business but it's beyond me how you can say you listen to a song, disregard the lyrics (the meat and meaning of the song) and decide how it makes you feel. You're omitting a great portion of the artists communicative effort. Even more baffling to me, is how you can see one of Maynard's most emotionally negative pieces as having a more positive vibe. That's kinda like calling "the scream" a spiritually uplifting painting.
