I'm extremely happy! Today I've managed to get the first series of clips on YouTube. You know, I'm a YouTube watcher from the start (feb 2005), I discovered YouTube long before it was well known as nowadays. And certainly in my country the Netherlands, the hype started much later. From the beginning I wanted to share my DVD's on YouTube. Ever since I was looking for software to convert DVD into Mpeg-4 files. It was frustrated! I couldn't find anything right which was working well and simple to handle. My problem was also that I haven't had any help from anyone! But until last week, I discovered a fitting software program. And with much blood, sweat and tears I finally get this result!
Now my first series is about a concert from the Louis Armstrong All Stars. It was located in: La Bussola-Focette in Italy. The concert was on thursday, may 7 th 1959.
I wanted to start with some clips that until now hasn't been put on YouTube.! Especially this first clip. Have you ever seen Louis Armstrong climbing out of a boat while playing? Have you ever seen Billy Kyle with a snare drum? And Have you ever seen Velma Middleton with a rowing peddle?
This first series is featuring two of my biggest idols in Jazz. Louis Armstrong and Trummy Young. Of course Louis Armstrong! I'm afraid I can't tell you anymore news about him. And then Trummy Young whom I've seen just once in person. An experience I will never forget! I could write a lot more about Trummy. But not all at once!

I imagine this is on the shores of Lake Ponchetrain. This tune was big in Dallas/Fort Worth in the early 1960's with a locally produced show for KTVT-11. Featuring "Ickey Twerp", called "Slam Bang Theatre" and they showed 3 Stooges reels and did funny skits.
Brilliant and joyous! A New Orleans street parade on sand, not easy. A man and woman walk across past the boat at 1 minute and 7 seconds! Then a few others crowd in at 1 minute and 47 seconds. They should have joined in the march!
