It's not exactly true that animal does not know if the owner or master has passed away. Somehow some species of animals seemed to know, either because the master has not appeared for a long time or they can "smell it". I mean those people who own dogs, I am sure you have seen how pet dogs become sad or even stayed forlornly at the door, after the owner has passed away. Or how they come to you and sleep beside you when you feel sad n not moved at all.
