Excellent vid, Cody, I love these kind of parody trailers. =) I suggest you check out the Shining one that makes it look like a family comedy, it kind of does the same thing you did, but sort of in reverse.
The point of what Cody did was to take some source material from one genre, and re-edit it to make something completely different.
I happen to think he did a fantastic job - without adding any footage of his own, he made a Disney trailer into something that genuinely has the feel of a David Lynch film. If anything, it demonstrates just how important editing is in conveying meaning.
