In what way? I think I've heard that hell in it is supposed to be an upside down pyramid but thats all i really know about it.

to elaborate more, take the 5/8. When you have a 5/8 signature you have two options of playing it out. Either
1-2-3 1-2 or
1-2 1-2-3.
It goes back and forth. The first round is 1-2-3 1-2, then 1-2-3 4-5-6, then 1-2 1-2-3.

because it's not 4/4. 5/8,6/8,5/8. It's in triplets, not duplets as with 4/4. And it's syncopated. just because every phrase has 16 counts does NOT mean it's in 4/4. Let me break down the theory for you.

X/Y. X=beats per measure. Y=which note gets a beat.
Measure one X=5, 5 beats in the measure. Y=8, an 8th note gets one beat.
Measure two X=6, 6 beats in the measure. Y=8, an 8th note gets one beat.
Meaure 3 X=5, 5 beats in the measure. Y=8, an 8th note gets one beat..

Then it repeats.

if it was a 16 count phrase then why on earth wouldn't you just write it as 4/4?

16/4=4

if you ever wrote this song out with a signature change every bar instead of 4/4... umm I'm pretty sure people would just laugh at you.
