You are so-ooo right - John has the Irish in him and see how his feet were dying to get into the Irish dancing!! Andrew Rieu tries hard to out-fiddle him but John can hold his own on any stage. Go, John!! You are a master talent.

I actually agree with Zulamun. While Andre Rieu may be superior technique-wise, he lacks the Irish-ness, which John Sheahan has. That being said, I still think it's a cool performance.

I love to see how a real irish man play with pure emotion and feeling and smoothness, whilst andre rieu plays very.. stiff and for the show :)

zulamun. I think you are completely right.Andre Reieu lacks passion for the music. John Sheahans music comes from his heart, and what comes from the heart goes to the heart.
