lenovo is lenovo and apple is apple duh -.- lenovo is goin back in time WTF??? and apple is leading but still windows are the most famous operating system... i like windows but i have mac so dont call me a fan boy... LENOVO SUCKS...

Of cause the alienware m17 is gonna be more powerful than the Thinkpad X300. Compare the alienware m17 with a thinkpad W or T series

Does it being so thin make it so awesome? Having an optical drive does in fact make things a lot easier.

well its because they're comparing thinest at the moment dats why i pointed out dat fact. well yea having an optical drive does make things alot easier. but, at the same time, they've compromised. their processor is only a dual core running at 1.2 ghz. and their graphics card is much lowered compared to the nvidia 9400 in the air.

on second thoughts, the Macbook itself (not the macbook air) is the same size as this notebook. try comparing them and you'll see the huge huge difference.

Some Thinkpad X300 has ATI Mobility graphic card.

It doesn't look ugly. It looks professional. It isn't all gimmick like the Macbook Air. It's a stacked. sleek, good looking notebook.

I agree that it isn't ugly, but I wouldn't say anything bad about the Macbook Air's look either. They're simply different designs, different materials, ect.
