What really stands out here is you can hear Phife rapping the lyrics in a legitimate, classy way. He wasn't trying to bump the girls like many rappers do today, and you can understand what he was saying.

I can't stand the music today either. It's all digital and done by computers. Plus, samples like this are a by-gone thing in hip-hop, it's all about making your own lame beats, rapping about how many girls you can fuck, and how much money they own.

This generation doesn't understand.

phife dawg is one of my favorite mcs. tribe is definitely my favorite group. and im 17. maaaaaan these kids my age know nothing bout hip hop. shit, i only know a little bit myself. if only i'd been born in '82 instead of '92.....
