To me Pat sounds best on that crappy old gibson 175.

It is not PMG touring in 2010, just Pat by himself. A new album release "The Orchestrion Project" and tour. Pre-sales start Nov. 4th. He's posted this project on his site and tour details. Check it out

lonaticc, if you view Pat's site he is getting ready to tour, but only by himself. The Orchestrion Project is the title, kind of a one man band thing with acoustic and acousto-electric instruments. He did hint at a PMG project in the "not too distant future". I believe he's doing projects he's never had a chance to do because of PMG and PMG Trio recording and tour obligations. So, we will have to wait.

Yeah, there's a YouTube interview with Pat done by an Italian fellow. Pat says that he and Lyle talk all the time, they also PLAY music all the time. Amazingly still, after all these years.

They might talk & play together all the time but they haven't toured in almost 5 years now. I hope next time Metheny tours it's with the GROUP again.

Yeah, but on the website it says nothing about "The Group" reuniting. Sounds like another Pat Metheny Trio or solo project.

I hope your right and it is The Pat Metheny Group going on tour in 2010. It'd be the first time they (The Pat Metheny GROUP) toured since 2005, maybe even longer than that.

I didn't know that....! I truly hope it's the group. Best musicianship i've ever had pleasure to hear. Wonder what's up with them.
