Right I see, do you think it's worth learning or would you recommend something else? I want to put my time in to mastering something like this but aren't sure which to go with. Cost isn't an issue by the way.

Hmm, by yourself, I would say well over a year, no kidding. I use Blender, and to get results like that, you need tons of time. Plus the fact that if you actually try to do that on a normal computer, chances are it would just crash anyway :D. The Blender workshop didn't even render it in their studio. They payed a rendering farm because of the processing power needed. You could make a really good 3 min movie even with much lower quality than this in a few months. This is like super great.

This seems to be the worst movie ever! Damn i hate movies where they don't talk!

it depends on your capabilities in blender AND the rendering times will be much too long for one Computer.
So i would say 3 months - 2 years ;)
