  • Great memories here. I remember playing with my MMM sets endlessly. I flexed Matt's arms so much one eventually broke off.

  • Major Matt Mason would be a huge movie success.

Brad Pitt as Major Matt Mason or somebody else.

    Would be a fantastic movie.

Wonder why Hollywood has never explored such a movie?

Come on Hollywood, we want a Major Matt Mason Summer Blockbuster movie!

  • I was 3 when my uncle 9 got one of these,I wanted one in the worst way,had to settle for "Billy Blast Off" more age appropriate.damn i was mad!!! didn't know what Pissed was at that time)

  • holly sh..it I can't beleive I'm seeing this! darn were we in business back then! so much better than WII static toys.

  • Matt Mason?

  • If memory serves, Mattel came out with three more figures the very next Xmas. Two more Earth astronauts (one of them, African-American!); plus Callisto (a green-headed alien scientist from Jupiter).

P.S.---the exclamation point is to emphasize how progessive a non-Caucasian action-figure was, for that time period. I think the only other such action-figure, back then, was the clean-shaven member of GI Joe's Adventure Team!

  • MMM was the most marvelouu memories that I had in my chilhood, xmas, and many more. I had the entire collection...An unforgattable toy...sigh...

  • My absolute favotrite toy as a kid !

Got one on E-bay in mint cond. for $123 bucks and it's my prized possession !

You can't put a price on such a wonderful childhood mem. like that !

  • From what I read the other day- Tom Hanks will play MAJ MAtt Mason and one of the writers involved wrote fro the mini series- "From the Earth to the Moon" Hasbro is planning to come out with MMM toys/figures in 2012 along with the movie. I hope they make the orginals along with some contemorary things/legacy- i.e.- MMM Apollo, MMM Orion etc.

  • I took my Captain Lazer to my kindergarden for show and tell, and it got stolen at recess, never saw him again ;( . I got all the MMM accessories at one xmas. My mom made xmas's theme based. 1 year ALL MMM, the next ALL GI Joes, then ALL Tonkas, etc.. Ahhhhh the 70s were a great time to grow up.
