I believe the imprisionment and Room 101 was done perfectly but the ending was totally off. I didn't care for the ending much, but it was overall a very nice film.

If a new film of 1984 were to be made (as I've heard it will be next year, but don't quote me on that), they could explain the date as the 'future' away by saying the year is whatever the party dictates it to be. For all they know, it could be 2084.

Tim Robbins was working on a screenplay, but I heard he gave up on it. I don't think he has the funds... What a shame. This is a movie people really need to see.
