I grew up listening to my parents play his music.. a beautiful voice and all his songs tell a story. I cry everytime I hear the song "my woman my wife"...so heartfelt...like so many of his songs..

I saw Marty at the Grand Ole Opry at the Ryman Theater, before they opened Opryland and he put on a great show. He wasn't very tall but he had a big voice. I wish we had singers and writers around like we had then. He was my favorite.
