Most of us were not lucky enough to have seen Jeremy in the role of Sherlock Holmes onstage, but at last we will be able to hear him and of course, dear Edward Hardwicke as well.
We owe many thanks to our dear friend, Linda Pritchard, and to our friend, Lisa Woods. Without them, Jeremy's performance would have been lost to our generation and generations to come.
Headphones might be advisable to enhance your listening pleasure and to enable you to understand more of what is being said. If you happen to have a copy of the play (written by Jeremy Paul) you may enjoy following along.
We hope you all enjoy it.
Much love goes out to our dear man, Jeremy, always. ^_^
The Secret of Sherlock Holmes was written by Jeremy Paul.

this seems a fine thing to watch. If I only could understand it all well and saw the whole performance with it. Now I do'nt realy know what'svall about. Dam'n
Yeah! Why no video! They videotaped just about everything on stage including obscure stuff like Akazukin Cha Cha the Musical (in Japan of course) WHY NOT THIS!!! THIS IS LIKE THE HOLY GRAIL OF SHERLOCK HOLMES slash JEREMY BRETT FANDOM!! WHY NOT!!
This Christmas they'd make much more money putting a theatrical version of this stage performance on the big screen instead of that damn Robert Downey Jr. movie! Lord knows I'd pay money to see this on the screen if only I could! If only I could!
WOW amazing so thankfully somebody did recall this wonderful show.I saw both versions the first at Ruchmond and at Wyndhams Theatre. You might enjoy my virtual movie of Conan Doyle discussing Sherlock holmes at my poetryanimations channel.
Well done for sharing I will never forget my evenings out watching the great Jeremy Brett the definitive Sherlock Holmes.
Is there any wonderful S.H. fan out there who would think it worth the effort to put subtitles on this? If only for the sake of a miserable non-native speaker who cannot quite follow the dialouges, but would die to (or: walk over corpses, as we say in Sweden) take part of this beautiful piece of S.H history?
"That is all I can gather..." I remember laughing at this line myself twenty-odd years ago. I saw this production three or four times and loved it every time. Brett was a joy as Holmes and one of my most thrilling memories is of him throwing his arms around me when I met him at the stage door! A giant of an actor, much missed, and one of the best Holmes ever. Thanks for posting this, many happy memories.
