Kyuss - Whitewater

Since there were no studio versions of this song on Youtube (just live), I decided to upload it myself. Enjoy the greatest band ever.

I've been searching for music like this for a long time. TOOL is my favorite band and I was thinking they were the only kings on the mountain.

But this stuff is mind blowing, a damn tornado + explosion just happened in my head.

This is my first experience of the so-called "stoner rock/metal", it's pretty damn good!

...what are you kiddies talking about bad mixing and shitty sounds? This is the main thing in stoner music from the early 90`s...raw, to play the guitar over bass amps and put a mega fuzz on the riffs...even the vocals have a bit distortion in it... that`s pure in purpose!!! you must listen to about 1000 other stoner bands...to understand what I mean...Kyuss is on top of them all !!! but orange goblin, sleep, rotor, dozer, greenleaves, fu manchu...etc...all this kind of rock is awsome!!!! DESERT

yeah... "raw" actually means recording/mixing amateurs. It seriously takes a lot of skills in many areas to get stuff sounding really good from a sound recording standpoint, to preserve the sound from the amplifiers and still be able to carry each of them into tracks in a mix.. they didnt have the best tools back then either..

I know it's a skill to capture the right sound and stuff like that, but a lot of todays popular bands/ artists are sounding way better on their studio album than live... . A Great Band Has To Be Great Live! The feeling you get, when you see them, goosebumps when you hear a certain song... This whole experience makes a simple band, an awesome band like kyuss.

My point is that the live act is, for me, more important than the mixing of a studio album.
