I love it! not fancy, just genuine good ol' violin

the most beautiful concert ever written, Mendelssohn literally touch heaven with this gem, he began writing it in 1844 and it was premiered on march 13, 1845, by the violinist to whom he dedicated masterpiece, Ferdinand David,being the orchestra directed by Mendelssohn himself at the Gewardhaus in Leipzig

Very nice to hear Enesco as conductor! Young Menuhin put's his heart in this recording...

Menuhin was, in my opinion, the ONLY violinist to rival Heifetz in his prime or even come close to it.

I think that this is better than Heifetz's performance.
