Ronnie was an absolute legend and is already dearly missed. I just wish that I had had the chance to see him live. His memory and voice will always live on. I'm 26 and my children love him!
Ronnie and I had a bit in common, due to our background in flamenco guitar.
When Ronnie graduated from college he went to Spain to teach English, and while there he studied flamenco guitar. For many years he used his flamenco blanca guitar to perform and record. He was a good friend and I miss him and the other boys.
Ronnie could also sing in Spanish and did so in a unique and wonderful way, and recorded at least one song in Spanish from Chile that I know of, and that was "Yo Vendo Unos Ojos Negros".
My joke for many years has been if you are in an Irish Pub, and there is a Spaniard next to you who speaks English with a Dublin accent, then you know that he was a student of Ronnies! :)
