It's all dumbed down compared to how it was back then. Back then kids were allowed to give or take a beating or two, to see a bit of violence and grittiness on TV, but also with proper context and creative content to spark their brains in thought and imagination. Now, with a few exceptions, they're taught to believe in rainbows, unicorns, and other such nonsense, then they see everything but that when they come online and/or have a look at anything rated M ever, and poof! They got no foundation.
