the problem with "remaining silent" is that you are in a situation where your fate very much depends on arbitrary variables. The cops can charge you with with real bullshit that you then have to prove your innocence! While you wait in jail. I've come totally clean with cops and been let go with no license on parole! I agree with not snitching but cam got it wrong.if you and another person rob someone and you got to jail,tell on the other person,that's snitching.also people don't call the police on drug dealers in the hood or other crime that goes on,that's snitching too and you'll get killed.now.....there's a code cam forgot,he was tryna be a smart ass and couldn't think of a comeback.the code in the streets and in jail is don't kill weman or childern on have sex with kid or rape.so tell on those people

I disagree. When people remain silent, gangs take over. You take the law into your own hands, you wind up like the gangs fighting the cartels south of the border. Your idea is essentially a false dichotomy with special pleading.
