My Dad was one of those Canadians lucky enough...there were a lot over the years..to sit for a few beer and talk to him. He arranged when I was 11-12 to sit a a table in the restaurant next to the night club the "Prince Edward Room" (Thank you Johny Reid) when Tom was doing a show there. My dad brought him down after a set and Tom Said Hello, I swear he was such a god to me at the time I don't think I spoke a word, just dumbfounded...I regret not saying a word to him

Stompin' Tom's music always told a story of this great land we live in, gonna miss that. I like the idea of Tom Connor's Day too!, if the Government wont do it, we will do it ourselves, they work for us don't you know.
