Some stupid fools seem to think that because some athletes are paid mega bucks it means that they are "superior" to athletes who are payed less. For example the 2 richest teams in the NHL, the Toronto Maple Leafs and New York Rangers haven't had a lot of success. The Leafs haven't won the Stanley Cup in 45 years, and the Rangers have only 1 in the past 72 years. Just because the NFL has big bucks it doesn't mean its players are better. It just ain't true, I don't care what NFL fanboys say!

You're right man. Ask any player who's ever played in both leagues and they'll tell you the CFL is no joke. NFL fans might think it is, but that's the opinion of people that have never played a down on ANY field, and in reality know nothing about football. They are different games that require different types of players...end of story.

yes, which proves that cfl players can compete with nfl p[layers on the playing field. maybe the nfl players are superior at running that stupid 40 yard dash in a straight line with nothing but air in their way, but if you put a cfl team against an nfl team, with cfl rules , the cfl team would not get embarassed, maybe even win. cfl payers have an infinite amount of character

It was 1981. The players they signed were Vince Ferragamo, James Scott, Billy Johnson and David Overstreet. They had a dismal 3-15 season, and lost to every team at least once in the CFL that season.

we are very lucky to have cfl football because even baseball fans are not really baseball fans.(our society just pretends to like baseball. we only enjoy watching the highlites, no one really watches a baseball game for 9 full innings). cfl is better than MLB

i never new about the cfl playing the nfl. i only knew about the tigercats beating the bills. i wish i could watch that entire game. in 1982(not 100%sure about the year) the montreal alouettes had 5 nfl players on their roster and lost to the ottawa roughriders in a playoff game.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of both leagues, but the NFL is simply better.

From 1950-1961, CFL teams played against NFL teams with Canadian rules on Canadian soil and the CFL only claimed one victory during that span, which was a 38-21 victory by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats over the Buffalo Bills on August 8, 1961. Other than that, the CFL got their candy asses whopped. Sorry to tell you the truth.

Uh-huh. And why has numerous top CFL players turned down offers from the NFL in recent years?

I'm not going to go into the pointless 'which league has better players' debate. But at least give the CFL some credit. More top CIS/NCAA Canadian-born players are getting drafted by NFL teams in recent years too. Canada must be doing something right.

Money is a big factor too. Not to mention, a MUCH smaller talent pool to pick from where hockey is the number one sport.

I love the CFL's new motto " Hey, at least we have lights for our championship"
