Each year, on the last Saturday of April, thousands of people congregate on the streets of Downtown Heritage Perth to welcome spring and the arrival of local maple syrup products.

    Which is a curious comment - considering it was taken at several previous Festival of the Maples. I was there getting some high def footage - and it was pretty much the same - except they dropped the food and wine festival. The rest is identical, including the booths - even at the same positions as the last 15 years,
