With 2.1 seconds remaining in overtime, Duke trailed 103-102. Grant Hill threw a pass the length of the court to Christian Laettner, who dribbled once, turned, and hit a jumper as time expired for the 104-103 win. Brought to you by CBS SportsLine and CSTV.

you're allowed to drop the ball with both hands, you just can't keep dribbling it with it both. the ball only bounced once then he picked it back up.

He didn't travel, his left foot is his 'pivot' foot. And as long as that pivot foot remains planted on the ground, he could turn all he wants and it won't be considered a travel.

Dude, a double dribble is one of two things:

1.Dribbling, picking it up, then dribbling again.

    2.Dribbling with both hands.

Number 2 has one exception, and that is if you only took one dribble in that possession. So if you only dribble once, it can't be a double dribble. Ever.

OK, so apparently I don't shit about basketball, thanks to all who have enlightened me to the concept of the double dribble. That aside, there still was 3 distinct foot movements for the one dribble, I know they don't call it much (especially in the NBA!!), but isn't that traveling?

Surprise, surprise, another self-righteous indignant asshole heard from. Look, I'm neither a Duke supporter or hater. Dribble and shot aside, for those of you just learning to read, my comment was more to berate the Kentucky defense on this play.
