I think I can safely say that these are the hardest two end bosses I have ever seen in any Shoot 'em up.
The last boss is just plain unfair. xD
So beating him with bombs is actually impressive too...

Nope. Mushihimesama is only available on circuit boards for arcade cabs and the port for PS2 (Japan only, so you'd have to mod your PS2 or import one from Japan like I did.)
It's because you're still shooting. As long as the boss has that aura around it, it's protected. Dying or bombing will activate it, and it takes a few seconds to wear off. Shooting the boss while it has the aura will give you a nightmarish spam of bullets. Be careful.
I've played both. Extra/Phantasm is harder than the first boss in this, but the second boss's final attacks (with the special music) are harder than touhou.
