Yeah, when you heat an object the molecules then vibrate you know, and then there is kinetic energy because. Kinetic Energy = 1/2 mv^2 , where m is mass and v for speed so if you increase the heat the molecules will vibrate more which will increase the Kinetic energy because of faster movement.

Ah yes, but be careful with your usage of the word vibration because it is in fact friction that is occurring.
