In 1965 Dr. Peter Witt gave drugs to spiders and observed their effects on web building. This short film about the results of the experiment was created by First Church Of Christ, Filmmaker.

When I was filming I found out that when you pick a spider up by the web coming out of its spinner it goes completely still for a few seconds. Then I was able to position them in the car, on the hammock, etc. Also, the caffeine spider's motion is something they do if you blow right on them (I think it's to avoid predation)

how did they get the spiders to stay still long enough to film them with those props?
